AHMED joined Johor Investment Berhad in October 2013, from Standard Chartered Bank (Malaysia), where he was the head of Financials Institutional Group, Strategic Client Coverage; covering SEA & China. Prior to that, he was a Senior Director and Head of FIG Advisory at HSBC Bank Singapore. During his career of over ten years at HSBC, AHMED served in various roles in the coverage and advisory Investment Banking Division. AHMED has over eighteen years of regional investment banking experience and has executed in excess of 60 transactions, totaling USD 25bn in value. AHMED has advised Governments and Corporates on IPOs, M&A, Debt Capital Markets, Funding, etc., regionally and internationally. AHMED has a B.S. in Business with concentration in finance & accounting and a Master degree in Business Administration from Asia Metropolitan University..
MOHAMMEDNUOH has more than nineteen years of experience in the investment industry. He joined JOHOR INVESTMENT BERHAD in 2009 and is the Chief Investment Officer. Prior to JOHOR INVESTMENT BERHAD, MOHAMMEDNUOH spent over eleven years at Deutsche Bank in London where he initially traded UK equities. He also held senior research positions in European and emerging market equities and latterly was strategist for Central & Eastern Europe, Middle East & Africa. In each year since 2012 he has been in SEA Fund Manager Magazine’s ‘G-50’ list of the “most influential, innovative and powerful figures in the regional industry”. GAO joined JOHOR INVESTMENT BERHAD in 2018 as the Chief Finance Officer and is involved in deal origination and execution. GAO is involved in financial structuring, valuation and transaction documents amongst other matters. She has more than 12 years of investment banking experience, including 7 years in HSBC Global Banking, where she worked in multiple offices including Calgary, London, Dubai and Singapore. She has advised on several transactions with transaction value exceeding USD 10bn. GAO is a CFA Charter holder and has an MBA from Tsinghua University Beijing.
HALIM has more than thirteen years of experience in the field of Financial Accounting, Fund Accounting and Administration. In the past, he worked with prestigious organizations such as Vision Investment Services (Malaysia), HSBC Securities Services (India), Northern Operating Services ltd. (Singapore) and State Street Syntel Services Pvt Ltd (India). He is a graduate of commerce, has cleared intermediate group from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Malaysia and has also cleared Level 1 of the Certified Hedge Fund Professional program from USA.
